BAGLEY, Oaklee Izaiah –age 9, Port Hawkesbury, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, in the I.W.K. Health Care Centre, Halifax. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Amanda Bagley, Port Hawkesbury. Oaklee was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury where he served as an altar server. He was also a member of the Port Hawkesbury Judo Club and the Strait Area Baseball Association (Mosquito League). He was a Grade 4 student at Tamarac Education Centre. Oaklee was always willing to lend a helping hand with various church functions, cemetery clean-up in the spring, grocery bagging, ticket sales for judo and baseball. Oaklee held the door for everyone everywhere he went, and was always happy to clean up around town in spring. He assisted his friend MacKenzie on the bus and was always cheerfully helpful to his bus driver Cathy. He was always positive and smiling happily willing to be kind to all. A truly great son, mommy was blessed with, and lucky to have. Besides his mother, Oaklee is survived by aunts, Karla Bagley, Madonna Sullivan, Connie Grisdale, Penny Coulson, Charlene Grightmire and Charlene Bagley; uncle, Charlie Grightmire Jr.; grandfather, Charles Grightmire; adopted grandparents, Tom and Patsy Bagley; cousins, Kimberly Sullivan, Desmond Sullivan, Hunter Smith, Brooke Bagley, Harlee Dobson, Brody Carter, Braea Carter; godparents, Adam MacKinnon and Myrtice Mooring. Oaklee was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Sullivan; great-grandparents, Pat and Nellie Sullivan. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville St. Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 24, from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
