Gwyneth Marie Bowie March 21st, 2017 - March 27th, 2017 Gwyneth Marie Bowie, age 7 days, died in the IWK Hospital, Halifax. Born eight weeks early and weighing 6lbs 1oz, Gwyn had lots of dark hair and the cutest button nose. After struggling with severe symptoms of hydrops fetalis, she passed gently into the arms of Jesus. During her brief visit on earth she enjoyed listening to her Mama sing and loved the protection and strong presence of her Daddy who never left her side. Her favorite song was, 'This Little Light of Mine' and she adored the caring nurses who nicknamed her, 'Gwynie.' Gwyneth Marie is the daughter of Danny and Christina Bowie (Connolly) and sister of Audrey Margaret Bowie. Gwyneth is survived by her Papa and Nan - Angus and Barbie Bowie, Heatherton, Nova Scotia; her Nana - Maxine Connolly, Guysborough Intervale, Nova Scotia; Gwyneth joins her Papa Connolly in heaven (Peter Connolly.) Gwyneth Marie is also survived by great grandparents Kenneth and Margaret Connolly, Guysborough Intervale, Nova Scotia; great grandmother Charlotte Warner, Steep Creek, Nova Scotia; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Patrick's Parish Cemetery, Guysborough Intervale. Memorial contributions in Gwyneth Marie's name can be made to St Patrick's Church, Guysborough Intervale or IWK Health Centre Foundation, Halifax, NS.
