Boutilier, Donald Ross "Donnie" – Hammonds Plains. The death of Donnie occurred on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 at his home in Hammonds Plains, at the age of 84.
Born in Hackett’s Cove, on October 13th, 1934; he was a son of the late William Seymour and Henrietta Myrtle (Hubley) Boutilier. Survived by his wife, Ida Lillian (Haverstock); his sons, Darrell (Paulette) and Sheldon (Holly), special grandson, Blaine (Amanda), and loving granddaughters, Paige and Brittany. Also survived by his sister, Daisy Veinot, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Earl (infancy), sisters Jessie, Eva, and Florence.
Donnie had an electrical license for over 60 years, starting his working career at Carter and Smith, and Moosehead Breweries. In 1975, he started D. R. Boutilier Electric Limited.
Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Friday, March 8. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9th both in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Hackett’s Cove with Rev. Andrew Cooke officiating. Burial to take place at a later date in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Hackett’s Cove.
