Finding words to express my sympathies is difficult. I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I knew him from visiting my grandmother and at the Smith's but really got to know him when I would stop in to visit with Uncle Ernie. Sad to hear the news of such a great person. I have many memories of John and most were the gracious rides he gave me when I was hitch hiking home from town or to town. I was always happy to see him and he always made me laugh. I have always tried to stop in and see him and Marie in Red Islands and over the years was lucky enough to introduce him to my children. John will never be forgotten rest easy my friend till we meet again. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

Family of John, over the years I have often been reminded of the strong bond between the Murphy's and Burke's from the Crossroads. John always maintained the connection and never forgot his roots .As you grieve a great loss it is my hope that his children will always value the foundation laid by two wonderful parents and find strength in pleasant memories.
