Obituary
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bryson, William "Bill" Thomas - age 83 of Boylston. It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father, William "Bill" Bryson. Dad passed on at 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Guysborough he was a son of the late Colin and Evelyn (Worth) Bryson.
He fought bravely through multiple medical conditions and setbacks and was very stoic throughout his battles.
My father was surrounded by my wife, Mary Lou Bryson, his sister, Diane Tulk and myself, his son, James "Jim" as he took his final breaths, he also leaves to mourn his passing his sister, Ann Carter. He is predeceased by his former wife, Anne Jane (Gaudette) Bryson; daughter, Rae- Anne Bryson; his second wife, Patricia "Trish" Bryson; brother, Jimmy Bryson.
His final days and last moments were peaceful and he did not suffer.
I am so thankful for that .
He will have a wake, tomorrow (Friday, October 22nd) from 3 to 5 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
His funeral will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 23rd in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Guysborough with Father Callistus Abazie officiating.
He will be buried in his family plot, in St. Ann’s Parish Cemetery, Guysborough
My father was a gregarious gentleman who loved people.
His kind warm spirit will be greatly missed.
I am the last Bryson of Guysborough and hope to represent that name as well as he did.
My father is gone but will never be forgotten.
We are grateful for the care received from St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish; special thanks to Guysborough Memorial Hospital and the truly compassionate care they gave during his time at the Hospital and the staff at the Maple’s. Thank you to his many family and friends who loved him as we did.
