MacNEIL, Winnifred Florence- Age 92, Port Hawkesbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2017, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in River John, Pictou Co., she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Dwyer) Gratto. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughters, Claudia (Jack); Elaine; Doreen (Joe); Twila; Wanda; Donna (Walter); Lorna (Bernie); Joann (Sheldon); son, Kenny (Karen); 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold "Pappy"; sons-in-law, William MacDonald, Leonard Forest. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville St. Port Hawkesbury and from where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with Father Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Southbrook Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury.
