Obituary
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
PETTIPAS (Neumer), Mary Alice – Age 70, tragically passed away on February 6, 2018, in Orlando, Florida in a house fire. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse "Al" and Patricia "Patsy" (Drudge) Pettipas of Larry’s River. Mary Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is remembered by her family as unstoppable, nothing in this world was able to dim the light that shone within her. That beautiful sparkling smile, as if it were painted on her face, we can all recall. To Mary Alice, life was not about finding herself; instead, it was about creating herself. Her creativity was contagious. Mary Alice went confidently in the directions of her dreams and because of this; she lived the life she always imagined for herself.
After retiring in 2008 from Honeywell as a marketing manager, Mary Alice found a second career in real estate in the Bahamas and still found time and energy for visiting family and friends as well as gardening, hiking, biking, dancing and traveling.
Mary Alice is survived by her daughters, Katy and Nancy Neumer; grandchildren, Lily (3) and Conway (2); siblings, Patricia (Gerard), Bill (Veronica), Nancy (Allister), Pierre (Margie); and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her nephew, Matthew Chisholm.
