MacPHERSON, Sharon Colleen - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Sharon Colleen MacPherson (Proctor), on Wednesday, July 11 2018, at the early age of 60 years in the Northern Lights Hospital in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Sharon and Bill spent the past 12 years in Ft. McMurray but their hearts were always at home in Port Hawkesbury N.S. Sharon was employed with Bee-Clean Janitorial for approximately 8 years. Sharon had a great love of family; no matter where she was or what she was doing, there was always someone tagging along. You could always be guaranteed of seeing her eyes sparkle and wearing a broad smile as she was in the company of all of her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than to have her entire family under one roof. Sharon and her husband Bill were inseparable, they did everything together including traveling to various destinations. Sharon was always so fun loving; had a great sense of humor and a laugh that could get anyone smiling, and she could find that silver lining in any situation. For many years she baked goodies in her kitchen, passing that same love of baking and cooking to all of her children and grandchildren. Sharon was also an avid gardener and loved to put her hand to many different crafts created with as much love for the finished product as for the person she’s making it for, always paying attention to the finest of detail. One of Sharon’s passions was cleaning; she always said it was like therapy to her. She was always ready to give a helping hand and be a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mona Proctor; her father-in-law, Stewart MacIsaac. She is survived by her brother, Tom (Barbara) Proctor, Niagara Falls; sister, Donna (Eric) Birmingham, St. Catherine’s; brother, John (Vivian) Proctor, St. Catherine’s; brother, Jerry (Charlene) Proctor, St. Catherine’s; and brother, Tim (Franz) Proctor, Welland. Sharon will be tremendously missed by the love of her life Bill MacPherson, 41 years happily married. She will be sadly missed by her children, Amanda (Steve) Matthews, Courtice Ont; Cari (Scott) Landry, Port Hawkesbury N.S; Chuck (Davina) MacPherson, Fort McMurray AB; and Crista MacPherson, Port Hawkesbury. Sharon will also be fondly missed by her grandchildren, Ryan, Liam, Madison, Matthew, Shelby, Jaimie, Emily, Cody, Logan, Jenna and her many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Irene MacIsaac; brother-in-law, Keith Davis; sister-in-law, Florence Oldford (David); sister-in-law, Eva Buchanan (Glen); and sister-in-law, Charlene Bowden (Derek); many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Northern Lights Hospital in Fort McMurray, Alberta for your dedicated care, professionalism and concern for Sharon.
