Panek-Repko, Renée Celeste - Age 56 years of Port Hawkesbury. It is with deep sadness that the family of Renée announces her passing on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Renée was born in Windsor, Ontario on April 14, 1962; daughter of Edward and Delores (Pilotte) Panek of Windsor, Ontario. Renée worked in Sports and Seasonal at Canadian Tire in Port Hawkesbury, friendliest face in the store. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael, daughter, Sasha, and sons, Max and Talen. She is also survived by her sisters and their husbands, Susan & Tad Delaney, Jill & Michael Lucier, and Leanne & Phillip Renard, all from Ontario, as well as her brothers and wives Michael & Shirley Panek from Ontario and Jeffrey & Bonnie Panek, Orlando, Florida. Renée is also survived by her mother-in-law, Sandra Repko, brother-in-law David Repko, and sister-in-law Mary Bradbury, from Ontario. She was predeceased by her grandparents, and her father-in-law, Andrew Repko. Visitation will be held in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury on Monday, March 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury on Tuesday, March 26 at 10 a.m. with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. A reception and time of fellowship to follow in St. Joseph Parish Hall. Cremation to follow with interment to be held on Tuesday, April 2, at St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury. Memorial donations may be made in Renée’s memory to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care Unit, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
