FADER, Beverly Ann "Bev" – Age 78, Port Hawkesbury passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, surrounded by her family in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born on October 22, 1940, in Port Hawkesbury she was a daughter of the late Charles Theodore "Ted" Sr. and Marjorie (MacInnis) Cass.
She is survived by her daughter, Leanne Surette-Gillis (Edmund Warner); sister, Judy MacKinnon, West Bay Road; brothers, Robert (Charlene), Port Hawkesbury; Glen (Evelyn), Lower River; stepsons, Terrance Fader (Pati), Stratford, Ont; Philip Fader (Donna), Shiloh, Manitoba; grandsons, Darcy Gillis (Paige Ryan), Halifax; and Lewis "Sandy" (Kaitlyn) Gillis, Port Hawkesbury. She is also survived by her friends of building 404 in Port Hawkesbury. She was predeceased by her husband, Bertram Fader; brother, Charles "Ted Jr.".
We would like to thank the Palliative Care team, Dr. Cooper, Nancy Cameron and Kyla MacKeigan for their support during Bev’s illness, as well as Dr. Collins, Dr. Pluta and the staff of Strait Richmond Hospital and also the homecare workers.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Deacon Berkley Guthro officiating. Family flowers only. Burial in the parish cemetery.
