LAING (Walsh), Agnes Rebecca – Rockdale, Richmond Co., NS. With great sadness and heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our dearest mother, Agnes Rebecca (Walsh) Laing at the age of 72, on Saturday, June 15, 2019, in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Sally’s Cove, NL, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Connors) Walsh. Agnes is survived by her children, Christine (Joe) Bergen; Juanita (Adrian) Briand; Kevin (Tammy) Laing; Dion (Crystal) Laing and Marjorie (Maor) Head; her grandchildren, Mark, Teresa (Clint), Marcus, Nolan, Daelin, Rory, Ryan (Emily), Tyler and Timothy. She also leaves behind her brother, Walter Walsh; sister, Thelma (Wilson) Pond; brother-in-law, Lewis Shears. She also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald "Don"; her baby daughter, Myra; sister, Bride Shears; brother, Jimmy Walsh. At Agnes’ request, cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held from St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Sally’s Cove, NL on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
