GRANT, Graham Elliott – Age 24, North Riverside, Guysborough Co. Graham passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Although Graham was born in Hamilton, Ontario and raised in the Niagara Region, he established his home in North Riverside, Guysborough, where his roots were firmly planted. He was the son of Jennifer (Holt) and Ken Grant of Porter’s Lake, NS. Graham found his passion and lived his purpose in Guysborough while working as a labourer, first with Chedabucto Log Home Construction and then with Bayview Construction; volunteering as a firefighter with Milford Haven Fire Department and simply helping others by committing his personalized attention to the support of anyone in need. He created a reputation of integrity and credibility built on trust, because he valued friendships. He is survived by his two brothers, Alex (Courtney and Carson) Baptist, Ontario and Trevor Grant (Rowan Argue), New Brunswick; paternal grandmother, Pearl Grant, St. Francis Harbour; maternal grandmother, Brenda Holt, Ontario and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Graham was predeceased in death by his paternal grandfather, Elliott Grant; maternal grandfather, Don Holt; and cousin, Jonathan Wood. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 81, Guysborough. Graham’s uncle and Pastor Michael Holt will officiate. Committal of ashes will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Graham may be made to Milford Haven Fire Department, P.O. Box 140, Guysborough, NS B0H-1N0.
