Hadley, Edmund George - Port Shoreham, Guysborough Co. age 59. Passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, December 21, 2019, just five days shy of his 60th birthday. Edmund will be missed by all for his generous heart and his wonderful, unique sense of humour. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Alexander and Georgina (Smith) Hadley. Edmund worked as a carpenter for Hadley Brothers in Halifax. When he moved back to Guysborough County Edmund went to work for his brother, B.A. Hadley Ltd. He was a "MacGyver", always fixing something. Edmund is survived by his wife, Ann (Casey) (Worth); her sons, Douglas, Horton’s Cove and Richard, Martinique and grandchildren Shelley, Lisa and Meagan; sister, Clara (John) Hart, Boylston; brother, Bruce (Margaret), Boylston; nieces, Jennifer and April (Squeaker) Hart and Ashley Hadley. Besides his parents, Edmund was predeceased by his nephew, Johnathan Hart. In keeping with Edmunds wishes there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020 in Boylston United Church with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating assited by Rev. Gary Manthorne. A reception will follow in the Boylston Community Centre. Memorial donations in memory of Edmund may be made to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
