Donald James Bouchie Age 65 Hazel Hill, Guysborough County It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald James Bouchie, age 65, of Hazel Hill, Nova Scotia, who passed suddenly on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022. Born August 2nd, 1956 in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Donald and Marie (Haines) Bouchie. Don was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a crab and lobster fisherman for many years, an avid fly tier and thoroughly enjoyed many fishing trips over the years with his friend, Clayton Haines. He often could be seen at Dover boardwalk walking his ‘best girl’, his golden retriever, Belle. He had numerous talents and skills that he loved to share with his grandsons, with an added slice of humour of course. He will be thoroughly missed by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Katie, who was the ‘apple of his eye’ and those who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda (Harnish) Bouchie of 44 years; loving daughter, Katie (Liam) Parker; grandsons, Owen Parker, Max Parker and Ben Parker; brothers, Michael (Nancy) Bouchie, and Jim Bouchie; sisters, Verna Doyle, Linda Bray, Sharon MacIntyre, Shelley (Thane) Jamieson, Arlene Bouchie, Renata (Daniel Mattie) Bouchie; mother-in-law, Louise Harnish and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Donald Bouchie; mother, Marie Bouchie; brother, Paul Bouchie; sister, Joan Matthews; father-in-law, Isaac Harnish and brother-in-law, Dorian Harnish. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1st from 2-6 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd, 11a.m. in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father Jonathan Nnajiofor officiating. A reception to follow at the St. Agnes Parish Centre. Donations in Don’s memory can be made to Eastern Memorial Hospital Foundation.
