Dollard, Mary Lillian ‘Lil’ (Mahar) of Canso. We celebrate the life of Mary Lillian ‘Lil’ (Mahar) Dollard, 84, who passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Lil loved having her children home, especially her beloved grandchildren, Carter, Rhiane, Danielle, Alison and Sophie. She enjoyed a good game of cards, berry picking, walking on the trail, travelling, especially to her birthplace, PEI, and baking; she made the best pies. She graced our lives, made us better people, and we deeply miss her. Remember her and smile, it would make her happy. Lil was devout and sang in both the Star of the Sea and Ecumenical choirs. She made many friends while working at Canso Sea Foods and throughout the community. She is survived by loving husband of 60 years, Henry Sr.; son, Henry (Bonnie); daughters, Marie (Rob), Cecilia (Paul); five grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, James Thomas and Mary Cecilia (McGee) Mahar; brothers, Jim (Sadie) and Merlin (Margaret); stepsister, Mary (Bert). We thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Eastern Memorial Hospital for their excellent care and kindness. Cremation has taken place; service at a later date, there will be no visitation by her request.
