DesBarres, Brenda Marie - Age 68 years of Monastery, Antigonish Co., It is with great sadness that we the family of Brenda Marie DesBarres announce her passing on Monday, April 20, 2020 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Brenda was born in Amherst; a daughter of Frances (MacLellan) Burns, Amherst; and the late Malcolm Burns. She worked for Northwest Tel for many years. Brenda and her daughter, Shelly loved to play TV bingo, she loved to knit, travel to visit family, she was an avid dart player. She loved her sisters’ homemade bread. Besides her mother Brenda is survived by her children, Shelly DesBarres (Jerry), Monastery; Adam DesBarres, Whitehorse, N.W.T.; Roseann (Steve) Mugridge, Summerside, P.E.I.; sisters, Kim (Randy) LeBlanc; Myra (Richard) Crossman; brother, Kevin (Dorothy) Burns; grandchildren, Kayla DesBarres, N.B.; Chance MacEachern, Monastery; Cole Mugridge, Summerside, P.E.I.; A.J. DesBarres, Ont.; Evan Ballum, PEI; great-grandchildren, Ava, Ariaha, Kolby; step-grandchildren, Dale Cox, Katelyn Cox, Due to the Covid 19 restrictions there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held in Amherst at a later date.
