Obituary
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
MacLEAN, James W. "Jimmy" It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jimmy MacLean on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Jimmy was the much loved and loving son of the late James and Lillian (McDonald) MacLean of Sydney River.
Jimmy was born in Glace Bay and lived with his parents in Edmonton and Ottawa before the family settled in Sydney River. Jimmy was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Sydney River until his move to Inverness County in his later adult years.
Jimmy is survived by his special aunt Emily MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury, and numerous MacDonald and MacLean cousins. Jimmy was known for his dry sense of humour and his interest in current events. He was always happy to see visitors, exchange stories and catch up on all the news from the relatives.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Robertson House, Margaree, the Chemoi Group Home in Cheticamp, and the Inverary Manor in Inverness for providing a warm caring environment for Jimmy.
Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held on Friday, September 25 at 2 p.m. in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney River, where Jimmy will be laid to rest with his Mother and Father.
Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
