MacKINNON, Jessie Ann – Age 86, Hazeldale, Victoria Co., passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in the Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Dunakin Mountain, Inverness Co., she was a daughter of the late Hector and Isabell (Busby) Beaton. Jessie was a member of Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh where she volunteered for many church suppers. She also churned butter at the Highland Village in Iona. Surviving are her daughters, Margie (Buddy MacNeil), Hazeldale; Betty Ann Osborne, Little Narrows; son, Robert (Jeanie), Pictou; long-time companion, John MacKenzie, Hazeldale; sister, Marion, ON; brothers, Donald (Betty), John (Nan), Allan (Linda); grandchildren, Danny, Shaun, Lisa, Brett, Ceilidh, Reilly, Lauchlin, Cullan; great-grandchildren, Haley, Natalie, Layla, Noah, Ethan, Levi, Stetson and Lennox. She was predeceased by her husband, John Neil MacKinnon; sister, Margaret; brother, James Roddie; son-in-law, John Osborne. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 8 in Stewartdale Cemetery with Jennifer Billard officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
