It was with sorrow that I learned of Alton's passing when speaking with my Mom. Having been raised along "The Shore Road" and in the St. Francis Harbour Parish family, as well as riding the School Bus and attending Elementary and High School with his and Edith's children, Alton had been a constant member of the community I called home. He shall still come to my mind when I next travel through St. Francis Harbour, as I instinctfully look for his truck parked in his driveway. It isn't his driveway now, and it won't be there again. Rest in peace Alton. You are missed.

Sorry to hear of Alton's passing. It was him and Edith that introduced my parents to each other when they were all in Hamilton back in the 60's, got married and had us kids. He was dad's best man as well. Over the years, mom and dad told lots of stories of Alton and their photo albums have plenty of pictures of him in the good ol' days - always with a smile on his face.
