MACASKILL, Daniel "Danny" age 66, of Edmonton and formerly of Auld's Cove passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2022. Danny was born on June 23, 1956 and grew up in Auld's Cove, with his five siblings. He had fond memories of swimming and fishing in the Canso strait, and playing hockey in the winter. He studied to become an Electrician, eventually reaching the Journeyman level. His job took him all over the country working on many projects including: ship building, construction, and the oil sands, and he enjoyed his retirement years in Edmonton, AB. He loved discussing politics, and striking up conversations with just about anyone he met over a cup of coffee. He will be remembered for his good nature and always being the life of the party. Survived by parents; Bernard and Barb (Meagher) MacAskill; son: Patrick MacAskill; sisters: Debbie (Michael), and Liz (Dean); brothers: Steve (Ramona), Kevin (Barb), and Peter (Nicole); and many nieces, nephews and friends from all over the country. The family will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
