ANDREWS, Mary Elaine - 58, Boylston, Guysborough Co. It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Elaine, our daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Elaine passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of Louise (MacAllister) (Chisholm) Richards and stepfather Edward Richards, Hazel Hill, and the late Archibald Chisholm. Elaine was a stay-at-home mom for a number of years, and her last place of employment was Gerald Hart's Store. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother, and will be sadly missed by her family and the many friends she touched so deeply throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, Lindsay; daughters, Darlene, Boylston; Glenda (Aubrey), Fort McMurray, Alta.; Trina (Robert), Antigonish; Melanie (Brent), Halifax; sons, Kevin (Tanya), Manassette Lake; Christopher, Boylston; brother, Anthony (Monica), Roachvale; grandchildren, Stephen, Ryan, Donovan, Savannah, Stephanie, Chelsea, Tyler, Kassandra, Elizabeth.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Salmon River Lake, Father Jonathan Nweke officiating. Burial will be in Boylston Baptist Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society.
