AIKENS, Charles - 68, Roman Valley, Guysborough Co., died Friday, September 30, 2005, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Roman Valley, he was a son of the late Robert and Annie (Boutilier) Aikens. Charles was a labourer employed with a foundry in Oakville, Ont., for 30 years before returning home in 1991. He was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, Guysborough Intervale. Surviving are his sister, Catherine McNutt, Mississauga, Ont.; sister-in-law, Gloria Aikens, Collingwood, Ont.; brother, George (Rosalia), Mississauga, Ont.; niece, Kathy; nephews, Robert, Todd, Billy, Robert, and Trevor. He was predeceased by brothers, Bill, Jim; sisters, Marcella and Lena. Visitation was held Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. today in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Nweke officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Charlie may be made to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary or St. Patrick's Cemetery Fund.
