Amos, Stella Leona - 76, Hadleyville, Guysborough County. It is with great sadness we announce the death of Stella Leona Amos. Stella died at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Thursday, August 5, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lulu Scott, Melford. Stella was a loving and devoted wife, mother & "nanny." Stella is survived by daughters, Leona Amos (Russ Hache), Lower Sackville and Hilda (Stephen) Murphy, Liverpool; granddaughters, Telena Murphy, Truro and Lauren Murphy, Liverpool; sister, Charlotte Warner, Steep Creek, brothers, Basil and Marvin (Lina) Scott, both of Steep Creek, Earl (Barbara), Boston; sisters-in-law, Janice Scott, Melford and Lenora Scott, Port Hawkesbury. Stella is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Thomas and brothers, Raymond, Ervin and Edward Scott and brother-in-law Roy Warner. There will be no visitation at her request. Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m. in Hadleyville United Church with Rev. Jim Chisholm officiating. Burial will take place in Hadleyville United Church Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations in Stella’s memory may be made to Mulgrave United Church.
