AUSTIN, Karlsson Helgi -79, Whycocomagh, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 10, 2013. Born in Whycocomagh on May 19, 1934, he was a son of the late Robert and Ellen (Karlsson) Austin. Surviving are son, Korey, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Alexis Ruth, Dartmouth; sisters, Mary Matheson, Lee Landmeyer, Ingrid Gillis and Annie MacKenzie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Smith); sons, Barry and Paul; brothers, Robert and Maurice; sister, Berta. Visitation will be from 1-3:30 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 3:30 p.m. both on Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Graveside service will follow in Stewartdale Cemetery.
