ASH, George Joseph -92, Lincolnville, Guysborough Co., passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Lincolnville, he was a son of the late George Henry and Charlotte (Jarvis) Ash. George was an avid woodsman and enjoyed telling stories. He was a member of St. Monica’s Chapel, Lincolnville. Surviving are his wife, Annie Mae (Morris); daughters, Theressa Ash, Sophie (Fred) Lawrence, Mary Ash, Rhoda (James) Jorden, Valerie (Clair) Ash, Hilida Usher; sons, Robert (Lorraine), Doug (Cathy), Timmy (Gloria), Philip (Carol Ann), George (Cathy), Steve Morris (Tilley), James (Doreen); sisters, Ardella (Wilfred) Desmond, Mary Alica Izzard; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Walter Jarvis, Tom Ash; sister, Margaret Clyke; brothers-in-law, Joe Izzard and Walter Clyke. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Anita Foley and Dr. Ranjini Mahendrarajah and the Nursing Home staff of the Milford Haven Home for Special Care. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in St. Peter’s Meeting Place, Tracadie. Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday from St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Tracadie with Father John Barry officiating. Burial will follow in St. Monica’s Cemetery, Lincolnville.
