MacDONALD, Emily Patricia "Pat" 1957 - 2022. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Patricia "Pat" MacDonald on Sunday, May 29, 2022, in Gatineau, Quebec. Pat is survived by her husband and best friend, Yvon Foley, Gatineau, Que. In addition to Yvon, Pat is survived by her mother, Emily MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury; her siblings, Brian (Joan), Port Hawkesbury; Anne Marie, Toronto; Lillian (Steve Berry), Creignish. She also leaves behind nephews, Craig, David and Andrew MacDonald; Alex and Neal Berry and grandnephews, Kaleb and Benjamin MacDonald. Pat was predeceased by her father, Alexander J. MacDonald. Pat was born in Glace Bay and grew up in Port Hawkesbury, living in Halifax, Newfoundland and Toronto before settling into her forever home in Gatineau, Que. Her lifetime love of learning garnered her degrees in Commerce, Psychology and a Master's in Industrial Relations. She spent 30 years as an HR professional, but her true love was travel. Pat and Yvon together travelled the globe and shared many wonderful memories, China, Vietnam and Newfoundland among their favorites. Pat was touched and comforted by the many kind words and gestures she received during her illness. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place in Lac Megantic, Que. with burial service to take place in Port Hawkesbury at a future date.
