MacLean, Malcolm Allan – Whycocomagh It is with profound sadness that we the family of Malcom A. MacLean, announce his passing on June 2, 2022 at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Malcolm was born on June 26, 1935 in Ebor, Manitoba. He was the son of the late John Murdock MacLean and Marian "Sproule" MacLean. He married Mary Margaret (MacKinnon) in 1956 and were married for 48 years, she passed away in 2004. Left to mourn the loss of their kind and devoted father are daughters, Heather MacKinnon, Sydney; Marilyn (Leo) Murphy, Lr. Sackville; Anne Marie (Frankie) Goswell, Whycocomagh; Jaye (Cecil) Morrison, Blues Mills and sons Ian (Betty), Ainslie Glen; Timmy (Pam), Dartmouth and daughter-in-law Michelle MacLean, Cole Harbour. Grandchildren, Logan and Morgan Morrison, Stacey (Evan) Goswell, Jessica (Terrence) MacDougall, Drew MacLean, Kyle MacLean and Great grandchild, Elaina MacLean. Sisters, Johnena MacLellan, Lake Ainslie; Florence Spears, Moncton, NB; Ruth (Nute) MacPhail, Lake Ainslie; Donna Mae (John) Beaton, Halifax and Julie MacLean, Port Hawkesbury; sister-in-law, Jessie MacKinnon, Ainslie Glen; Libby MacRae, Aberdeen and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by son, Allan; special friend, Shirley Morrison; brother Daniel; sisters, Olive Hawley and brother-in-law Lauchie MacKinnon, D.H. MacKinnon, Jack Hawley, Willard MacLellan, Donnie MacLean, Donald Spears and sister-in-laws, Archena MacKinnon and Murdena MacKinnon. Malcolm enjoyed his card games (especially winning) and loved to visit and have visitors. He was a friend to all who knew him and was there with his heart and hand to help. We all love you and your love will be in our hearts forever. Visitation will be at Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh, Sunday, June 5th from 6-9pm and funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh on Monday, June 6th at 2pm. Donations in memory of Malcolm can be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or Stewartdale Cemetery Fund. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital for the special care that Dad received.
