Marion 'Norma' Edwards
The family of Norma Edwards sadly announce the sudden passing of their Mother and Grandmother who peacefully left us on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Milford Haven Nursing Home, Guysborough, NS after a wonderful day of celebrating her ninety-first birthday.
Norma was born in Florence N.S. on January 13, 1932, moved to Glace Bay as a young girl and spent her adult life in Port Hawkesbury, N.S. Norma is remembered as a kind and caring woman to her family, her neighbours, and her community. Her early work life included employment as a telephone operator with MT&T, retail clothing clerk at Eaton’s, and as a playground supervisor at Centennial Elementary.
Throughout her life Norma was a very active volunteer with the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Lionette’s, and CGIT. Her most active community involvement was with the numerous church and community choirs for over 50 years, and her singing continued to entertain residents at Milford Haven right up to her last day.

In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Bill Edwards and her daughter-in-law, Charlene Edwards.
