Faustina 'Tean' Eva Horne (89) - daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Bouchie) Rhynold. It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother 'Tean', who left this world with her four daughters and grandchildren by her side.

Tean worked a short time at the Canso Fish Plant and the Scotia Restaurant, but was mostly a stay-at-home mom.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert James Horne; son, Robert Rudy Horne. Also her siblings, Mary-Maude (Kenneth Grey), Herbert Rhynold, Winnifred-Winnie (Ronald Boudreau), Paul Rhynold, Agatha Sis Sampson, Lewis-Bud Rhynold (Marie).

She is survived by her four daughters, Carrie (David Haines), Bonnie (Wayne Boudreau), Rhonda (Kevin MacDonald), Iris and "her boy", Myles (grandson) who she adored, all from Little Dover. Also her siblings, Melvin (Shelia), Pearl (James), Gregory (Jenny); brother-in-law, Colin Sampson; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Mom loved to sew, knit, play cards and bingo. She had a warm spirit, loved music, liked to sing and was always happiest when she had friends and family around her. She will be dearly missed.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place from 9 - 11 a.m.on Saturday, September 12, followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Parish Hall, Little Dover with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating . Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  A reception will follow in the hall. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Eastern Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

A special thank you to all the nursing staff of Eastern Memorial Hospital who showed compassion and professionalism during mom's stay in the hospital. She loved you all.
