THIBODEAU, Elizabeth Almira – 90. of Troy, Inverness Co., passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in the Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (Tremble) Tobin.

Following high school, Elizabeth went on to graduate with a BA Degree from St. FX. For many years she taught Cosmetology at the Canso Regional Vocational School and then at the NSCC Strait Area Campus before retiring.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving is her husband, Peter; son, Shaun (Paula), Troy; grandson, Mitchell. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marjorie Tobin and Aloma Hawley; brother, Carmen Tobin.

There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will take place in St. Ninian’s Parish Cemetery, Antigonish at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
