MORRISON, Marylee, RN - 88, Blues Mills. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marylee Morrison (Waters) on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Inverary Manor, Inverness.

Born in Inverness on April 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Georganna (Beaton) Waters.

Marylee is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 64 years, Robert "Bobby"; son, Cecil (Jaye) Morrison, Blues Mills; daughter, Carol (Henry) Mousek, Saint John; grandchildren, Logan, Morgan, Nicholas (Rachel), Justin (Allie), Marlee (Brett), Cailee; 3 great-grandchildren, Harvey, Hildy, Willa; niece, Christa Waters; sister-in-law, Muriel MacLeod; brother-in-law, Donnie (Wilma) Morrison, brother-in-law, Freddy (Margie) Morrison; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert "Abbie" and Winston "Butch", a brother in infancy; brother-in-law, Mackie MacLeod and sister-in-law, Tena Waters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Marylee completed her Bachelor of Nursing at the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in 1962 and worked at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital for the duration of her nursing career. She was a member of the Stewart United Church and served as the treasurer for several years. Marylee was exceptionally caring and thoughtful and was adored by her children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8th from 4 - 8 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 11 a.m. in Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. John Tapscott officiating. Burial to follow in Stewartdale Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Blues Mills Fire Hall.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Inverary Manor for the care they provided to Marylee in the last months of her life. Memorial donations may be made to the ICMH Charitable Foundation or to Stewartdale Cemetery. Family flowers only.
