GREENCORN, David Gerard - 59, Manassette Lake, NS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Born on May 2, 1966, in Guysborough, Davidi lived a life full of energy and passion that left an idelible mark on those who knew him. David was a long time employee of GPF Tree Trimming and made many good friends during his time there.

David was the beloved husband of Dianne Greencorn and a devoted father to Erica (Trevor) Greencorn and Jessica Greencorn. He also cherished his stepson, David Hammons and was a proud grandfather. Family was at the heart of David's life, he found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones and made it a priority to visit everyone regularly.

David is survived by his siblings, Carmen Greencorn; Annabelle (Arthur) England; Freddie (Carol) Greencorn; Betty (Michael) Spears; and Bernice Greencorn. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Thomas Greencorn and Dorothy Ann Carter Greencorn; sisters, Eviva Greencorn, Eva England, Annie (Doug) Newell; sister-in-law, Patsy Greencorn.

An outgoing and adventurous spirit, David had a deep love for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, as was working on his prized 1966 Chevelle - a labor of love that reflected his dedication and skill. Weekends often found him riding his motorcycle through the scenic landscapes he adored. His dogs Buddy and Booboo were constant companions who brought him endless happiness.

David's legacy is one of warmth, connection and enthusiasm for life. His presence lit up every room he entered and his efforts to stay connected with family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. May David Gerard Greencorn's memory bring comfort to those who loved him deeply.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral Service will be 3 p.m. Friday from St. James Anglican Church, Middle Melford with Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Burial will follow in Hadleyville Cemetery.
