The family of Olive Snow with sadness and graditude announce her passing on Monday, February 2, 2026. Born on January 19, 1926, in New Perlican, NL, she was the daughter of the late William and Blanche (Palmer) Cotter. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Pleman; sons, Woodrow and Henry; granddaughter, Jennifer; grandson, Henry; brothers, Jim, Ken and Henry; sisters-in-law, Betty and Carrie; special 1st cousin, Thelma Mae (Palmer) Clarke who kept in touch until passing in 2025 in her 99th year.

Mom had a busy life raising a large family. She was a loving Mom, one of the best! Mom and Dad owned and operated 2 grocery/convenience stores from 1969 - 1981. Mom received her Continuing Education Certificate in Franchise in 1972 and her Diploma with H&R Block and also her drivers license in the 70's. When time to sit and wonder what "Dr. Phil had on his plate" the needles and yarn came out, even in her 90's.

Mom is survived by her 8 children, Mamie, June, Randy (Janet), Shirley, Karen (Nick), Denise, Lynn (Raymond), Sandra (Andrew); 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; dear sister-in-law, Rose Cotter; special 1st cousin, Rex Cotter and her loving friends. Mom will be sadly missed by all that were fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1:45p.m. on Friday, February 13 with funeral service at 2 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury with Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. A reception will follow. Burial at a later date in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury.
