With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert "Bobby" William Power, age 83 of Hadleyville, NS, who left us peacefully in the Guysborough Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Bobby was born on November 28, 1942, in Mulgrave, NS, to Art and Cassie Power. Anyone who knew him knew he was happiest with grease on his hands and a project on the go. A natural tinkerer, he could take apart and fix almost anything - usually with a joke, a grin and a story slipped in along the way. His dry sense of humour and quiet kindness made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.

He carried the memories of his youth close to him, often sharing stories of old friends, mischievous adventures and especially the family's childhood dog, Sailor. His love for animals never faded; he rarely visited a friend without dog treats in his pocket, "just in case".

Above all, Bobby loved his family fiercely. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 60 years, Rosemary, whose partnership and laughter were the center of his world; his children, Julie (Stéphane) of Dartmouth and Michael of Haifax; and his cherished granddaughter, Cassie MacIsaac Power of Truro, who brought him endless pride and joy.

He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Veronica, Yvonne and Betty (late Pat); his brothers, Sonny (Petra), Ritchie (Agnes), Cyril (Bev) and Wally (late Mary) and is predeceased by his brother, Fabian (late Eileen).

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29 at 11 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 3294 Hwy 344, St. Francis Harbour. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital Foundation.
