HORNE, Timothy Ernest "Timmy" - Age 62 of New Minas, NS and formerly of Little Dover, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home.

Timmy was the son of the late Ernest and Marie Sophie (Doucet) Horne.

Timmy worked all his life on the sea as a deckhand with various fishing outfits. He was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. He always enjoyed tormenting his brother Kevin when the Leaf's beat the Canadiens. After his stroke he enjoyed watching wrestling, doing his puzzle books and a good cup of Tim Hortons coffee and a smoke. Timmy was a red head and had the temper and fire to go with it.

Timmy is survived by his son, Devon, Halifax; brothers, Kevin (Tammie), Queensport; Mark (Cheryl), Sambro; sister, Claudette, Truro. He was predeceased in death by his father, Ernest, mother, Marie, stepdad, Lewis "Bud" Rhynold and brother Nathan.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life will be on Saturday, December 6 from 10am until 2pm in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso and from where the service will follow at 2pm. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Parish Cemetery, Little Dover with Father Jonathan Nnajiofor officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.

The family would like to thank all doctors, nurses and care workers who cared for Timmy over the past 20 years. We appreciate everything you have done for him in various locations.
