GREENCORN, Harvey Joseph - Age 64, Canso, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the Guysborough Memorial Hospital on Monday, November 17, 2025. Harvey was the son of the late Joe and Hazel (Roberts) Greencorn.

Harvey is survived by his brother, Dave (Shirley); sisters, Tammie (Troy) Delorey, Dianna (Mike) Greencorn, all of Canso; nephews, Dylan, Trevor, Joey (Bailee); nieces, Keyona (Shane), Jessica (Josh), Katelynn (Alex); godson, Tyson (Cassidy); great nephew, Ethan; great nieces, Tesslynn, Melody, Raelynn, Everleigh and Madelyn.

Harvey worked at the Canso Fish Plant and then moved to Port Hawkesbury, where he attended NSCC to complete his Culinary Skills Program. Harvey then worked at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre until he became ill and moved home to Canso to be with family. Harvey was also Fire Chief with the Hazel Hill Fire Dept for many years. Harvey lived his last days at the Canso Seaside Manor. He loved to read, listen to music, play solitaire and watch tv. His greatest pride was his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews. Harvey will be dearly missed and always remembered by his loving family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dobek and Dr. Milburn. Also the staff of Seaside Manor for the care given to Harvey over the years he resided there. We would like to thank all the Dr's and staff of the Guysborough Memorial Hospital for the love and care and compassion they all provided Harvey and his family in his last days.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, November 21 in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 22 from Canso United Baptist Church, Canso with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Fourth Hill Cemetery, Canso.
