It is with deeply broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bernard Herman Chisholm, 73 of Auld's Cove on October 22, 2025 at home.

Bernie was born in Antigonish on October 23, 1951 to the late Bernard (Bernie Alec) and Alice (Richards) Chisholm.

Bernie was the owner of BST Lobster Sales Ltd in Auld's Cove.

Bernie was an avid fisherman, trapper and hunter, he especially enjoyed waterfowl hunting with his son

Walter and his loyal four-legged companion, Stormy.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Sherry Williams, sons Walter and Jonathan, daughter Caileigh (Shane Richard) and grandson Hunter who he shared a special bond, his eyes brightening up whenever he saw him.

Also left to mourn are his sisters Marie (Dave) MacKinnon, Lorna Pond, Connie (Darryl) Leigh, Diana (Brendan) Kelly, Jennifer (Paul Pilon) brothers Andrew (Marie), Callum and Blaine (Deanna Penney); brother-in-law George Vickers ; brothers and sisters in-law: Gail (Allan) Anderson, Rhonda Williams (Albert), Randy (Carol) Williams, Sharon (Charlie) Warner, Michael, Gary (Kim) Williams; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, Bernie was pre-deceased by his Nana Richards (Bernie had a special bond with his Nana referring to her as "The Colonel", his sister Myra Vickers, brothers-in-law Gary Pond and Ricky Williams, mother and father-in-law Iona and Gerald Williams.

Cremation has taken place. As per Bernie's wishes there will be no wake or funeral. Arrangements are under direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
