McMANUS, Blaise Hugh - Troy, Inverness Co. Blaise was born on March 22, 1941, in Antigonish and was the son of the late Hugh and Margaret (Burns) McManus. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston at the age of 84.

He was the beloved husband of the late Jutta and father to Melinda, Marcia, Shannon (with his wife Angela) and Vaughn (with his wife Johanna). Blaise was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren - Matthew, Daniel, Brooke, Kalin, Alex, Hunter, Benjamin, Nadia, Victoria, Olivia, Georgia, Arissa, Leila and Rogan and great-grandfather to Axel, Kaia, Dahila and Leo.

Well known throughout the community, Blaise will be remembered for his quirky personality, quick wit and the countless unforgettable stories he loved to share. His presence touched many lives and he will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to his home care providers, nurses and doctors for the compassion and dedication shown to Blaise throughout his life and in his final days.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. A private family burial will take place.
