Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born on November 15, 1927, in Hazel Hill, Guysborough Co. Stella was a daughter of the late Viola Johnson.

Stella was an excellent cook; she loved to play Bingo and watch TV. She was the last member of her immediate family.  Stella was predeceased by her husband, Joseph MacIsaac; sons, Stan and Doug, family members, and her much loved feline, “Nellie”.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 121 School St., Canso.  Funeral service will be held in Canso United Baptist Church, 1238 Union St., Canso on Tuesday, August26, 2025 at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Wheeler officiating.  Burial to follow in Fourth Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Stella to a charity of your choice.
