CLYKE, William Archibald “Archie” – Age 64, of Mulgrave and formerly of Sunnyville, Guysborough Co., passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Antigonish on March 15, 1961, he was the son of the late Ainley and Mary Clyke.

Archie was a truck driver from the early age of 16, he drove for his dad’s company, C.A. Clyke Trucking and a number of other companies up until the time of his sickness.

Archie enjoyed watching the Toronto Maple Leaf’s and the Toronto Blue Jays. He also enjoyed his coffee with the gang at Tim Horton’s. Often times he also hitched a ride with one of his trucker buddies and went along for the ride.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Greencorn and two children, Kristen and Kelsey, both of Mulgrave. He is also survived by sisters, Theresa (Jimmy), Brenda (Phil) and Patsy (Mike); brothers, James “Boo” (Suz), Charlie and Ivan. He’s also survived by aunt, Jane. He also leaves behind his little buddy and helper, Ethan.

He was predeceased by brother, Ronnie and brothers-in-law, Hans, Paul and Eddy Greencorn and John MacKinnon.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 23 from 3-8 p.m. in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Palce, Mulgrave. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 24 from Wesley United Church, Guysborough with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. A reception will follow at the Chedabucto Lifestyle Complex in Guysborough.  Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Dialysis Unit or the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place.
