MacNEIL, Shelly Ann - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shelly Ann MacNeil, age 46 who passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS, surrounded by loved ones. Shelly was born on November 8, 1978, in Antigonish. She was a beloved mother to Frankie Hughes and loving wife of Stephen Hughes. She is also survived by her mother, Sis MacNeil, sister, Shauna MacNeil and niece, Jadea MacNeil, as well as many close extended family. She was predeceased by her father, Gary MacNeil.

Shelly had a warm, fun loving attitude. She loved to play cards and make people laugh.
