Krista Allison Patricia Kruger Obituary

Krista Allison Patricia Kruger

Port Hawkesbury, NS

Age 39

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Krista a beloved mother, partner, daughter, sister, and friend who passed away on August 10th, 2025. Her departure leaves a space that can never be filled, but her love, laughter, and light will forever echo in the lives who knew her.

Krista leaves behind her four beautiful boys who she loved with her whole entire heart, the love of her life Trevor King who they shared many laughs, memories and adventures which could be anything with Krista. Trevor’s parents Stevie and Lynn King.

She found happiness in the simple meaningful moments of early mornings and late evenings on the farm, laughter around the dinner table, heartful conversations with her friends and quiet moments with a connection with nature. Her kindness was not a rare act, but a daily offering freely given to all her crossed her path.

For several years, she ran a successful day home, where she cared for numerous children whom she loved and adored deeply. Alongside managing her day home, she also worked at the Carriage House, where her coworkers became like a second family, and the customers, like her extended children.

Her true passion, however, was her rescue Bozzy Mission where she dedicated herself to saving horses, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, sheep, and any other animals in need of love and care. Together with her partner, she built Blue Lily Farm from the ground up, creating a safe haven where every creature had a place to belong.

Though her time with us was far too short Krista lived a life full of love, grace, and strength. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Krista leaves behind her four nuggets, Layne, Dylan, Gavin and Logan and her soul mate, Trevor King. Her mother, Mathilda (Benny) MacRae; brothers, Kyle (Shannon), Chris, Eddie (Dawn); sisters, Monique (Fred); nieces, Memory, Allie, Elissa, Kimberly, Nena, nephews, Devon and Liam, and the children’s father, Cyril Roach.

Predeceased by her loving dad, Derek Kruger; brothers, Kevin and Kirk and her stepmother, Rejean.

We will always remember Krista’s famous saying, “Why isn’t Trevor answering his f**king phone!!”

“Smile and let the world know what you’re up to.”

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 24 in The Carriage House, 825 Reeves St., Port Hawkesbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nova Scotia Mental Health, or any rescue of choice in memory of Krista Kruger.
