SMITH, Marlene Frances – Age 65 of Lunenburg and formerly of Mulgrave passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Antigonish on October 7, 1959, she was the daughter of Capt. Phil Smith and the late Jean (England) Smith.

Marlene is survived by her father, Cpt. Phil Smith, Mulgrave; daughter, Miranda, The Valley; and brother, Calvin, Merland. Besides her mother, Marlene was also predeceased by her brother, Phillip. 

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 22 at 11 a.m. in the United Church Cemetery, Middle Melford with Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
