Matthew Christopher LeBlanc
February 11, 2012 - July 4, 2025
With hearts full of love, we share that our bright and beautiful boy, Matthew Christopher LeBlanc, has taken his final bow. With his mommy and daddy holding his hands and a room overflowing with love, Matthew peacefully took his final breath — closing his remarkable chapter with grace, strength, and so much heart.
Matthew was the cherished son of Tonia and Andy LeBlanc, the forever twin and partner-in-crime to Ben LeBlanc, and the proud big brother of Lily Mae, his biggest fan and shadow. Together, they were an unstoppable trio full of love, laughter, and adventure.
He was the beloved grandson of Artie and Joanie Matthews (West Bay Road), Chris LeBlanc and Cathie Watters (Antigonish), and Norma Graham (Port Hood). He was a much-loved nephew to Brian and Crystal Matthews (Enfield), Vince and Cynthia LeBlanc (Red Water), Kezi LeBlanc (and Devon) of Monastery, Sidnie and Jeff MacDonnell (Inverness), and Colin LeBlanc (and Hope) of Baddeck. Cousin to Kayla, Grace, Kylie, Watson, Callum, Arie, and Rowan — all of whom he adored and who adored him right back and a special bond with his best friend Lauren.
From the very start, Matthew showed us what true bravery and joy looked like. He was full of life performing for any audience, cracking the best one-liners, and stealing the show whether at home or on stage. He had a deep love for shopping, especially hunting for old gaming systems at pawn shops, scoring deals, and finding treasures that made his eyes light up. He was a born entertainer with a heart that loved big.
He shared a quiet, unshakable bond with Ben, and a beautiful with Lily he loved her more than anything.Home was his happy place, and his family his everything.
In 2023, Matthew proudly served as the IWK Champion Child — a role he embraced with joy, sparkle, and of course, style. He traveled to Florida (three times!), explored every inch of PEI, and made lasting memories with friends and family. Everywhere he went, he brought light.

The Brightest Star
Written just for Matthew
He danced through life with laughter and light,
A sparkle that made the darkest days bright.
With every giggle, each brave little cheer,
He taught us to live without holding fear.
A heart so big, a soul so wide,
A twin, a brother, our source of pride.
Though now he flies where angels roam,
He’s left his love to guide us home.

A Celebration of Life for Matthew will be held at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre on July 11th from 1–4 p.m., with prayer and eulogy shared at 1:30 p.m. Matthew wished for it to be a fun celebration. In true Matthew fashion, LEGO kits will be collected at the celebration and donated to the IWK Health Centre — a tribute to his love of building and imagining, and a way to share joy with other children in his name.
The LeBlanc family extends heartfelt gratitude to the incredible care teams who walked alongside Matthew throughout his journey. With special thanks to Dr. Acott, Dr. Delaney, Nurse Isabelle, the amazing teams of 6 Link and 6 North at the IWK, the Aberdeen Oncology Clinic, and to Sarah B., who always brought a big smile to his face.
Though his time with us was far too short, Matthew filled it to the brim with adventure , laughter, music, mischief, and love. He was our shining star, our warm hug, and our reminder to live boldly.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Matthew.
