Mom worked for over 25 years for Bill and Wendy MacRae, who to mom were her extended family and she cherished them dearly. After retiring she worked at the St Francis de Sales Parish as housekeeper. Mom was of strong faith and had an unwavering love of God, she showed this by being an active member of her parish community and a member of the CWL for over 50 years.
Family was everything to mom and she always made sure there was lots of fresh baked bread, cookies, sweets and pie for everyone, no one went home without a bag. She loved sports and watching her children and grandchildren play, she could be heard cheering them on from the stands. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and going to card games. Mom was always there to help anyone in need and care for others, that was her passion.
The family would like to thank the amazing nurses and staff of the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home for the wonderful care and comfort they gave to mom for over the past 10 years. Also thank you to the nursing staff at the Strait Richmond Hospital for making her last days peaceful and comfortable.
