Please share a memory of Mackenzie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mackenzie Joseph "Duane" Marshall - September 8, 1988 ~ March 18, 2025. It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce that our son, our brother has entered the spirit world. Left to mourn are his mother, Carol Bernard (We'koqma'q); his sisters, Elizabeth Ann, Lorraine Marshall, Monica Bernard, Bianca Bernard, Trinity Bernard, all of We;koqma'q; Alice Paul (Potlotek); brother, Michael Sylliboy (We'koqma'q); godparents, Tracey Stevens and Peter Paul; godchildren, Carleigh Googoo, Sherman Bernard and Ansalew'it Bernard; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Duane was greeted in the spirit world by those he loved, his father, John Wayne Paul; step dads, John John Bernard and Mickey Sylliboy; best friends, Diamond Bernard and Caitlin Googoo; his grandparents, Raymond and Rosie Paul; Annie Claire Isaac and Benjamin Marshall.

"Don't worry bout a thing, cuz everything is gonna be alright" Bob Marley. With a deep love of music, Duane's tunes were always going. Any song, any artist. As long as it was music, it played. Over the tunes, a well played crib board and a deck of cards could be found sitting at the table. A very humble man, except with the game of crib. There was no such thing as a losing game, you played until he let you leave a loser.

Of course being a good person, he also would serve up some of his famous dishes! A fabulous cook, he took cooking and eating extremely serious, his meals were preplanned nightly. Many of family and friends were well fed by Duane. One of his favourite pastimes was playing his Xbox. He loved all games. Competitive with heart. Just as competitive, he was extremely funny. His sense of humour was top notch, he made everyone happier to be in his presence.

The first thing you would notice about Duane were his eyes. Green as trees, blue as the sky at times, grey as steel at other times. His deep dimples, always a presence as his smile was ever there. Extremely handsome are the words to describe him. Duane was blessed with the looks. Duane loved his fur babies, his dogs Misty and Pablo, his cat, Jiren. His fur babies were blessed to have his love.

Described as a super fan of the Montreal Canadiens. He will be cheering from the heavens for his favourite team. Duane will be missed by his best friends, Anthony Michael, Desmond John, Robert"Frag" Mitchell, Silipai Poulette, Tyson Googoo and all his siblings that he called his best friends for life. "I've got a peaceful easy feeling" Eagles.
