Obituary of Harry Clyke

Clyke, Harry - Age 85, Sunnyville, Guys Co. passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough.

Born in Sunnyville, July 4, 1939, he was a son of the late William and Clara (Mintus) Clyke. He worked most of his life as a woodsman. He loved playing cards and was always with family in his free time.

Harry leaves to mourn his son, Francis Ash, Ontario; his sister, Martha Mansfield, Sunnyville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Henry Ash; brothers, Victor, Kenneth, Frederick, Clair, William and Charlie; sisters, Adeline, Vivian, Gussie, Clarabelle and Mary.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 11 with funeral service being held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 12 in Sunnyville United Baptist Church, 361 Sunnyville Road, Sunnyville with Pastor Clara Jordan officiating.

A reception will follow in the Community Hall Guysborough, 28 Sunnyville Rd.

Burial will take place at a later date, in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough.

Memorial donations in memory of Harry may be made to, Sunnyville United Baptist Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
