Obituary of Kevin Gerard Wood
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Kevin Gerard Wood, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend.
Kevin was a man whose kindness knew no bounds. He had a heart as big as the world, and his proudest moments were always spent talking about his cherished nieces and nephews. His love for family was immeasurable, and he found joy in the simple, beautiful moments spent with those he loved.
When Kevin wasn’t enjoying visiting with his family and friends, he could often be found at one of his favorite fishing spots or tending to his beloved garden. His peaceful presence was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. There was no animal that did not love him—perhaps they sensed the gentle and kind soul within him.
Kevin’s generosity, warmth, and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. His memory will forever be carried in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Kevin is survived by sisters, Kim (Kevin) Patriquin, Kelly (Shane) Ryan; brothers, Kory (Linda) Wood, Kenneth (Trina) Wood. Cherished nephews and nieces, Matthew Patriquin (Naomi Weldon), Mark Patriquin, Kristina Patriquin, Renae Ryan (Kent Hanna), Grace White (Mitchell Langille), Jorgia Wood, Sidnee Wood, Rayanna Wood, Brooke Wood, Justin Whittleton and great niece Jayla White. He was preceded by his late parents Ronnie and Bernadette Wood.
A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at Mulgrave & Area Resting Place on Wednesday, March 19th from 2-8pm. Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Hawkesbury on Thursday, March 20th at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jax Mac Foundation ( www.jaxmacfoundation.com ).
Kevin’s legacy of love, kindness, and joy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us every day.
Rest in peace, Kevin. You were truly one of a kind.
