Hubert Joseph Vienneau

March 14, 1949 – February 28, 2025

Port Hastings, NS

Hubert was the son of Merville and Marie, husband to Frances, father to Joe (Krystin), Susan (Dave), and Barbie (Jacques), and Grampy to Declan, Carly, Cadan, Isabelle, and Gabi. He was also a brother to Laurine, Linda, Jeanie, Donnie, Michelle, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Merville and Marie, and brothers Robert, Victor and Nelson.

Hubert lived a wonderful and fulfilling life. He enjoyed many travelling and outdoor adventures, surrounded by family and friends across Canada and abroad. Ever a proud Canadian, Hubert was honored to have served his country for nearly 30 years.

Self-sufficient and resourceful, Hubert was a builder of houses and a rebuilder of engines. A lifelong learner and problem-solver, family and friends knew to turn to Hubert for help. He loved the opportunity to help others.

Hubert enjoyed music, sailing, technology, renewable energy, beekeeping, scuba diving, skiing, golfing, and painting. As an avid outdoorsman, Hubert believed in ethical hunting, fishing, and the conservation of wildlife.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the helpful and caring staff at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital (ICMH), the staff of the 2East Wing, especially to Dr. Kate MacInnes, and the Oncology Department.

There will be no funeral; however, there will be a family gathering held at a later date.
