It is with heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Terrance “Terry” Michael Morgan on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home at the age of 87.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Colleen Marie (MacDonald) and his children Randy (Lisa), Whiteside; Rodney, Debert; Luke (Danielle), Bedford; brothers Austin, Lester and Brian (Leanne). He will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and his furry friend Susie. He will long be remembered for his love of entertaining everyone with stories from years past.

Terry was raised on the family homestead in Whiteside and graduated high school in St. Peter’s. He then continued his studies at St. Francis Xavier University, with aspirations of becoming an RCMP member, until a serious accident halted that. He spent most of his career working at Nova Scotia Forest Industries, where he was both admired and respected and he made many friends along the way, until his retirement.

Terry’s pastime and love of restoring old cars, led him to repairing and painting vehicles for many family and friends in his neighborhood and surrounding areas.  He would always drop anything he was doing to help anyone in need.  His other passion was sports and he was always taking a car full of kids to many different sporting events and tournaments.  As he got older, that passion never faded and you would find him in the stands watching his children play and cheering them on – always proud.

The family would like to thank the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home nursing staff, who showed compassion and took great care of him on a daily basis.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at St. Francis De Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants at 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Riverdale Community Center. Burial at a later date.
